The Woodlands Hills is excited to soon unveil its eighth park and playground, adding another vibrant space to the 2,000-acre, award-winning master planned community.
This new park is designed to be a unique gathering place where neighbors can connect, and children can enjoy active, imaginative play surrounded by nature. Like other parks in the community, it emphasizes health and wellness and is conveniently located within walking distance of surrounding neighborhoods in The Woodlands Hills.
The park is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs and interests of all family members – children, teens, and adults. For adults and teens, the park offers tranquil hammocks, a “hang-out” deck with Adirondack chairs nestled in the woods, and a cozy picnic pavilion where families and friends can enjoy meals together.

For children, the playground provides inclusive play opportunities, catering to children of all abilities, including those on the autism spectrum. The park encourages different types of play—exploration, individual, cooperative, pretend, and cause-and-effect. Smaller, enclosed areas offer calming spaces for children who may need a quieter environment. The variety of play settings supports the development of physical, cognitive, and social skills in a natural, enriching environment.
Integrated seamlessly into the surrounding forest, the park blends nature and play, with climbing, swinging, and balancing structures that offer graduated challenges to promote physical development and coordination.
Developed by Howard Hughes, the park was designed by landscape architects Kimley-Horn and constructed by D.L. Meacham Construction Co. Estimated park completion is Summer 2025.
The Woodlands Hills offers 25% of permanently dedicated open space. Eventually, The Woodlands Hills will feature 20 beautifully designed parks for residents and visitors to enjoy.
