With summer in full swing, it’s time to experience some great outdoor fun. Recreation is abundant in The Woodlands Hills, Houston’s newest master planned community, located 13 miles north of The Woodlands.
The Howard Hughes Corporation recently hosted the Grand Opening of the new Activity Center at 17-acre Founders Park in The Woodlands Hills for guests and residents to enjoy. The 10,600-square-foot Activity Center offers recreation for all, just in time for the summer!
“We are extremely proud of The Woodlands Hills and the high standard it sets for a wholesome community,” said Heath Melton, Senior Vice President, Master Planned Communities, Residential for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “The Woodlands Hills is a special community where well-respected homebuilders and the natural elements come together to offer residents an exceptional lifestyle to enjoy, including the premier amenities found at our event-friendly Activity Center.”
The new Activity Center offers the opportunity to connect with neighbors and family and simply relax and unwind. Outdoors, the Activity Center includes:
- A zero-entry, resort-style pool highlighting deep-end jumping boulders, climbing wall, sunning decks and shade structures over portions of the pool and cabanas
- Spectacular lazy river and dedicated fitness pool with lap lanes
- Expansive event lawn
- Fitness lawn ideal for yoga
- Tennis courts
- Dog park
- Pedestrian bridge over a natural stream
The Activity Center showcases an indoor/outdoor event space that can accommodate over 300 guests. The living room area is expanded through an overhead bi-fold door that lifts, creating outdoor entertainment space. The Activity Center also includes an interior demonstration kitchen complete with a refrigerator, freezer, ice maker and an easy access window to serve neighbors and friends outside.
Indoors, the new Activity Center includes a fitness center, complete with state-of-the-art equipment for the ultimate workout experience, including Wellbeats™ virtual fitness program, treadmills, motion trainers, recumbent spin bikes and Precor® strength training machines.
With all these extra-curricular activities, residents can cycle down to the new Activity Center on one of the bike trails, situated on major street connectors in The Woodlands Hills.
The forested community of The Woodlands Hills will eventually include approximately 112 acres of open, natural space and 20 neighborhood parks including the 17-acre Founders Park.
