The sunflower is representative of a third anniversary, as it’s known for its strong stem, strong foundation and sunny hues, all symbolizing beauty, delight, hope, and joy.  All of these qualities are represented by The Woodlands Hills as it marks its third anniversary in July.

Three summers ago, this whole community embarked upon its vision of building wholesome new beginnings as one of Houston’s newest master planned communities. Through this new growth, over 1,200 residents have created a new home in The Woodlands Hills with a holistic lifestyle focused on health and wellness.

The Woodlands Hills is part of The Howard Hughes Corporation’s portfolio of award-winning master planned communities in Texas, joining The Woodlands and Bridgeland. Each community has been developed with high-quality standards and design principles that have led to their success. Most notably, The Woodlands Hills is the first curated-from-scratch master planned community of Howard Hughes.

The Woodlands Hills has taken root and grown over the last twelve months. Here are some recent highlights of the past year’s developments, activities and awards:

Perry Homes

Adding to the lineup of quality home builders, Perry Homes became the eighth builder to debut in The Woodlands Hills in August 2020, joining Century Communities, Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Gehan Homes, Highland Homes, Ravenna Homes and Westin Homes.

New Parks Open

The Woodlands Hills proudly opened two new parks – Daisy Park and Peace Park. Each park is nature-encompassing and adds to the health and wellness amenities in The Woodlands Hills.

Sue Luce’s Daisy Park, a one-acre neighborhood park nestled in the trees serves as the social and recreational focal point for nearby neighborhoods.

Rick and Roz Dauzat Peace Park is a 2.5-acre park designed with a passive, tranquil landscape for serene enjoyment, featuring a 1.8-mile meandering pathway.

Fall Giving Drive

The Woodlands Hills, in conjunction with Bridgeland, raised over $90,000 for five non-profits serving the Greater Houston region through its Fall Giving Drive during the month of September 2020.

For each new home sold at one of these award-winning communities during this period, The Howard Hughes Corporation donated $500 on behalf of the buyer to one of the following charities selected by the buyer: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, HomeAid Houston, Montgomery County Food Bank and YES to YOUTH.

Harvest In The Hills

In November 2020, The Woodlands Hills celebrated the second annual Harvest In The Hills Model Home Tour which began at the Activity Center in Founders Park. More than 500 neighbors and guests turned out (with COVID-19 precautions in place) to enjoy fun outdoor activities along with a model home tour.

Mark your calendars for the third annual Harvest in the Hills on Saturday, November 6.

Founders Club

Also, in November 2020, we honored the second set of 50 founding families in The Woodlands Hills with a dedication ceremony including a tree dedicated in their honor, complete with an individual plaque bearing the family name. In total the 100 Founders Club members represent a group of special neighbors that have formed a solid foundation for this wholesome community.
