The Woodlands Hills Recognized As Quality Planned Development™, Receiving Prestigious Designation
Presented by the West Houston Association and North Houston Association, this designation recognizes The Woodlands Hills for its high standards of development.
The Woodlands Hills has been recognized as a Quality Planned Development™ by the West Houston Association and North Houston Association. Developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation, The Woodlands Hills is one of Houston’s newest master planned communities, located 13 miles north of The Woodlands in Conroe and Willis.
The Quality Planned Development recognition certifies that a development has been designed to follow a stringent set of quality standards, commonly found in “superior master planned communities”.
According to the West Houston Association and North Houston Association, residential Quality Planned Developments incorporate the following standards along with three additional standards on their list of guidelines:
- A residential home owners association (HOA)
- Maintenance of the appearance and character of the community
- Adherence to the original development’s design facilitated via deed restrictions for vacant land or proposed commercial areas
- Buffer areas adjacent to major thoroughfares provided by landscaping
- Local public streets accented by sidewalks
- Amenitized detention basins
- Consistency of signage design with restrictions against banners, temporary and bandit signs
