In The Woodlands Hills, creating the foundation for healthier lifestyles includes providing residents with a myriad of ways to engage with each other and the outdoors. Its masterful plan includes dedicating more than 28% to parks and green space, with over 10 miles of hike and bike trails that ribbon through the community. With world-class amenities like 17-acre Founders Park and amenity center that features pools, splash pads, dog park, and an event lawn, residents are nurtured with numerous ways to connect to nature. In The Woodlands Hills, connection isn’t just a concept. Community connections are supported by an onsite Activities Director who manages a calendar full of curated activities and events throughout the year.

Together with staff, the Activities Director organizes fun and innovative events, activities, and classes, bringing the community together for more neighborly connection. It’s how neighbors become friends, because it’s easier to engage in something new when you have a friend by your side!

HOA programming is just one of the many reasons that make living in The Woodlands Hills a special place. As we near the end of the calendar year, residents can participate in an assortment of options that will interest every age group.

The holiday season kicked off with an event featuring dinner and a magic show, as well as a flower arrangement workshop. The end of October brought Haunted in The Hills, a community-favorite event. One of the walking trails is converted into a ‘haunted trail’ for some ghoulish engagement and the evening ended with residents gathered at Founders Park for a movie on the lawn. Residents go all out to decorate their homes for Halloween, drawing the community-at-large for a drive around the community, enlarging the circle of connections.

Most recently, Developer Howard Hughes Communities hosted Harvest in The Hills where residents and those seeking a new home in The Woodlands Hills came together to experience what living in a connected community is all about while enjoying outdoor activities, music, and yummy food. And to complete November’s calendar, residents enjoyed a Sushi making class and the youngest residents enjoyed a monthly Story Time.

After a yearlong calendar of extraordinary events, December continues to offer additional opportunities for social engagement. Residents will celebrate at Holiday in The Hills, taking place this weekend. The “Let-it-Snow” themed event will turn The Woodlands Hills into a winter wonderland with a snow-making machine! Residents will enjoy an afternoon of food, fun, and holiday festivities that include cookie making, inflatables, a local school choir, and a visit from Santa Claus!

Paint-n-Pour takes place on December 13. Join your neighbors for a creative evening expressing yourself though paint while enjoying a glass of wine.

Little ones will gather on December 16 for the final Story Time of 2025. Get comfy as you listen to a seasonal story beginning at 6 p.m. in the activity center. Pajamas are encouraged.

Christmas Movie Night will help set the mood for the coming holiday. Taking place on December 19, residents of all ages are invited to view classic favorites. Enjoy some popcorn and a double-feature movie, including the original 1966 The Grinch Who Stole Christmas followed by Home Alone. Pajamas are also encouraged for this event.

These are just a few of the exciting opportunities to gather and engage that residents of The Woodlands Hills have access to all year long. Community engagement enhances the small town feel of the community that’ surrounded by nature.
