Since opening in July 2018, The Woodlands Hills has blossomed and flourished. As an award-winning master planned community within the portfolio of The Howard Hughes Corporation, the community has attracted new neighbors who appreciate its beautiful, forested setting and nature-inspired amenities that promote health and wellness. It’s only natural that The Woodlands Hills has continued its success as one of the newest master planned communities in the Greater Houston Area.
Here are a few updates from the past anniversary year:
Top #20 Ranking
The Woodlands Hills has ranked #20 among the 50 Top-Selling Master Planned Communities in the Greater Houston area by Zonda in 2021. Zonda is a housing market research and real estate analytics firm.
The Woodlands Hills had a stellar year in new home sales over 2020. The accelerated market demand is due to buyers’ top reasons for selecting The Woodlands Hills:
- the community’s location
- amenities that focus on health and wellness
- a quality lifestyle that seamlessly integrates with the beauty of its natural forest
- innovative home designs by renowned builders
Coach Les Peacock Park Opened
The Woodlands Hills opened its newest park in the neighborhood of Maybella Forest – Coach Les Peacock Park. This 5th park is named in memory of the late Les Peacock, who was a longtime coach and educator at Willis ISD. The Howard Hughes Corporation donated the naming rights to Willis ISD, which chose to name the park in memory of Peacock.
The wooded park has been built out to resemble a backyard fort. It includes climbing features and elevated play structures integrated among the trees to set the stage for imaginative play.
Peacock Park adds to four other masterfully designed parks as well as a dog park. The Woodlands Hills will eventually feature 20 parks, each unique and encompassed in nature, for residents to experience and enjoy.

David Weekley Homes and Perry Homes introduced their collections of new homes on spacious 60-foot homesites in The Woodlands Hills. They join six other local and national homebuilders, which include Century Communities, Chesmar Homes, Gehan Homes,, Highland Homes, Ravenna Homes and Westin Homes. Together, they present a diverse assortment of one- and two-story single-family homes in The Woodlands Hills, priced from the low $300s.
Fun Activities
The Woodlands Hills Residential Homeowners Association has hosted several fun activities for residents to enjoy. From movie nights and a funky glow party to springtime activities and house concerts, the Activity Center has been bustling with fun. More events are on the horizon, too!

College Scholarship
Piper Neuman, a graduate of Willis High School where students residing in The Woodlands Hills attend, was among 27 area high school graduates to have been awarded a scholarship by The Howard Hughes Corporation for college endeavors. She plans to attend Dallas College North Lake.
This was the fifth annual scholarship Howard Hughes has awarded to a Willis High School graduate, continuing the developer’s tradition of funding scholarships since the 1980s. Among the scholarships this year, Howard Hughes also awarded the first Howard Hughes Education Foundation through the Willis ISD Education Foundation.
