Montgomery County Food Bank, YES to YOUTH AND Cy-Fair Educational Foundation are the Beneficiaries of this Year’s Charitable Drive

The Howard Hughes Corporation is pleased to announce its Houston-area master planned communities, The Woodlands Hills and Bridgeland raised $44,750 benefitting three local nonprofits through its annual Fall Giving Drive, which took place during the month of September. For each new home sold at these award-winning communities, Howard Hughes made a donation on behalf of the buyer to their choice of one of three select charities, providing new homebuyers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the Greater Houston area. This year’s beneficiaries included the Montgomery County Food Bank, YES to YOUTH and Cy-Fair Educational Foundation.

“The Fall Giving Drive offers an opportunity for our new residents to ingrain themselves into the very fabric of our communities,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, MPC Residential for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “The Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, Montgomery County Food Bank and YES to YOUTH are deeply committed to helping others, and we are proud of our residents and homebuilders for coming together to support these transformative nonprofits.”

Many of Howard Hughes’ builder partners, including Coventry Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, M/I Homes, Taylor Morrison and Westin Homes contributed to the Fall Giving Drive by making a donation to the charities.

Since its inception, The Howard Hughes Corporation has been an active philanthropist, contributing and volunteering to more than 180 charitable causes in the Houston region annually as part of its corporate social responsibility program HHCares, founded on a commitment to community-focused philanthropy, including financial donations, civic engagement and volunteerism. Through its annual Fall Giving Drive, Howard Hughes and its builder partners have donated more than $220,000 to nonprofits that are dedicated to making positive impacts in and around our communities.

“The Fall Giving Drive is a hallmark initiative within our HHCares program, and has been well-received by our team members, homebuilders and incoming residents,” added Sams. “As we continue to build for the future, we have a steadfast commitment to supporting the organizations that are improving the lives of our fellow community members.”
