Master Planned Communities Bridgeland® and The Woodlands Hills® Donated $500 to Charity for Every New Home Sold During September
The Howard Hughes Corporation is pleased to announce Houston area communities — The Woodlands Hills, an award-wining master planned community, and Bridgeland, the No. 1 selling master planned community in Texas with several accolades — raised over $90,000 for five non-profits serving the Greater Houston region through its Fall Giving Drive which took place during the month of September.
For each new home sold at one of these award-winning communities during this period, The Howard Hughes Corporation donated $500 on behalf of the buyer to one of the following charities selected by the buyer: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Cy-Fair Educational Foundation, HomeAid Houston, Montgomery County Food Bank and YES to YOUTH. The charitable effort gave homebuyers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the Greater Houston region while making a life changing decision in purchasing their new home.
While homebuyers played a significant role in the Fall Giving Drive, 100% of the homebuilders in Bridgeland and The Woodlands Hills, as well as various Realtor® partners, donated to the selected charities, making an even greater impact for these organizations and the meaningful work they do. The combined efforts of The Howard Hughes Corporation and the builder and Realtor® partners generated more than $90,000 for these deserving charities.
“The Howard Hughes Corporation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in and around our communities and this is one of our annual initiatives that offers an opportunity for the company to give back in a meaningful way,” said Heath Melton, Executive Vice President of MPC, Residential for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “We are proud of the efforts to raise such a significant amount for these five worthy non-profits that provide invaluable services to people in need. A big thank you goes to all those involved in the Fall Giving Drive to make this extraordinary donation possible.”
