Students always look forward to Spring Break. For Willis Independent School District, which serves The Woodlands Hills, the break will happen over the week of March 11. Here are fun ideas to keep your students entertained and busy in and around The Woodlands Hills during the break:

  • Happenings at The Activity Center in The Woodlands Hills

Young residents of The Woodlands Hills can partake in an inspirational theater camp at the Activity Center in Founders Park. A local high school theater teacher will teach acting skills as well as dance and movement and play fun theater games. On Saturday, residents can enjoy a Family Fun Night featuring inflatables, Gelly Ball, a Glow party, lively music, a food truck and more!

  • Hit The Trails

The Woodlands Hills offers residents access to so many wonderful nature-laced trails to enjoy walking, hiking and cycling. Immersed in nature, several of the pathways in The Woodlands Hills are interconnected from neighborhoods and connect to the community’s forested parks. Plus, families enjoy the parks, complete with numerous amenities, especially during Spring Break.

  • 7 Acre Wood

This children’s amusement center and park in Conroe is loaded with family fun! This action-packed place offers a variety of activities that kids love, such as a car track, a petting zoo, pony rides, a Western play town, putt-putt miniature golf, a zip line for kids, swings, and a huge sandbox and playground.   • Huntsville State Park

Set within the Sam Houston National Forest, Huntsville State Park offers plenty of nature-inspired activities among the natural beauty of the East Texas Pineywoods. Within this 2,083-acre wooded recreational area, visitors enjoy hiking and biking along 21 miles of scenic trails, camping, fishing, kayaking, swimming, picnicking, and a Nature Center. The Woodlands Children’s Museum

Just south of The Woodlands Hills, The Woodlands Children’s Museum is offering Spring BreaKation, a full week of live entertainment. Science Palooza & special projects in the Muse.   • Southern Empress Cruises

How about a river boat cruise! Southern Empress Cruises offers dinner cruises on picturesque Lake Conroe on Saturday and Sunday beginning at 6 PM. The Southern Empress is a 131-foot 1800s relic of a sternwheeler river boat and is one of the lake’s most recognizable icons, showcasing the rich history and charm of an era.
