Howard Hughes has formally marked the arrival of the award-winning master planned community, The Woodlands Hills, into Willis as it extends its reach from neighboring Conroe. Willis City Council officials Thomas Belinoski, Barney Stone, and Thomas Luster; team members from Howard Hughes; Willis ISD Director of Communications Jamie Fails; and esteemed builders from The Woodlands Hills joined in the festivities with a “Welcome to Willis” ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, April 23.

Brightland Homes, Century Homes, Chesmar Homes and David Weekley Homes are leading the way as the initial builders offering new homes in Willis within The Woodlands Hills.

Vice President of Land Development, Dan Kolkhorst

Currently, The Woodlands Hills showcases homes by Brightland Homes, Century Homes, Chesmar Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, J. Patrick Homes, Perry Homes, Ravenna Homes and Westin Homes in Conroe. With prices starting from the upper $200s, the community offers a diverse range of housing options.

“We are proud to announce the expansion of The Woodlands Hills into the Willis community. Our collaboration with Conroe has been rewarding, and we are excited about our partnership with Willis too,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, Master Planned Communities, Residential for Howard Hughes. “Residents can anticipate the same high-quality designs, amenities, parks within walking distance of homes and gently rolling terrain that have come to be cherished within the Conroe area of The Woodlands Hills.”

The Woodlands Hills is an award-winning 2,050-acre community developed by Howard Hughes. With a focus on fostering health, wellness and connectivity among neighbors, The Woodlands Hills offers an array of nature-inspired amenities and will eventually include over 112 acres of open space.

The 17-acre Founders Park, which was awarded the Environmental Impact Award by the North Houston Association in 2022, highlights an Activity Center featuring indoor and outdoor space, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and yoga and event lawns. Founders Park also includes both a fitness pool and leisure, resort-style pool complete with a lazy river, sprayground, an innovative playground, a dog park and tennis courts.

Extensive forested trails and dedicated bike lanes on major connectors are available for the residents to enjoy. The Woodlands Hills currently has six neighborhood parks and will offer 20 parks at buildout. The parks include Founders Park, Dr. Tim Harkrider Park, Coach Les Peacock Park, Rick and Roz Dauzat Peace Park, Sue Luce’s Daisy Park, and Terralyn Woods Park, as well as the Lucy and Gus Dauzat Dog Park within Founders Park.

Situated in both Conroe and Willis, The Woodlands Hills is conveniently located just 13 miles north of The Woodlands. The community is zoned to Willis ISD schools. A nature trail from Teralyn Woods Park leads students to Meador Elementary and Brabham Middle School. Willis High School is moments away.
