Residents of The Woodlands Hills gathered for “The Woodlands Hills Breakfast Panel” with Realtors® and representatives from home builders to share their personal life experiences in the fast-growing community. Panelists Kyle and Megan Brewer, Evelyn Williams, Gigi Peacock, and Savannah Taylor spoke on the variety of reasons The Woodlands Hills is an ideal place to live, no matter what stage of life one finds themselves in.
Opening in July 2018, The Woodlands Hills will celebrate its 5th anniversary this year. The 2,000-acre forested master planned community has grown tremendously in its first five years, reaching 900+ households. According to the panelists, that growth can be attributed to the forested setting, amenities, and community.
Featuring 112 acres of open space and surrounded by an abundance of lush, bountiful trees, The Woodlands Hills is an idyllic setting for nature lovers. “Nature is so important, as what you’re surrounded by has a big impact on mental health, relationships, and how you feel about coming home,” said Evelyn. Located 13 miles north of The Woodlands in Conroe, this tranquil “hidden gem” provides residents with a plethora of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors.
Walking trails abound, including both paved and nature trails. Residences in the community are located within a few minutes’ walk from parks. There are currently six parks and playgrounds peppered throughout the neighborhoods designed for a variety of age groups, with plans for more to come. There’s even a dedicated dog park for four-legged family members, designed with separate areas for small and large breeds.
Yogis can enjoy their practice on the yoga lawn, and swimmers can benefit from the outdoor lap pool, open 5am – 10pm daily. The Woodlands Hills also highlights dedicated bike lanes along all major connectors, the first master planned community in Montgomery County with this amenity.
Fitness enthusiasts enjoy exercise, with tennis courts and a fitness center (open 4am – midnight daily) available to residents. Those seeking peace and relaxation can dip in the resort-style pool, bask in the lazy river, or watch the littles enjoy the splash pad.
Children in The Woodlands Hills are zoned to schools in Willis ISD, which boasts a 91% high school graduation rate. The “family feel” experienced by residents of The Woodlands Hills also extends to area schools. “If you’re looking for a place where children are treated like family and teachers truly love them, this is the place,” explained Megan.
“The staff made the transition seamless for my daughter,” added Savannah. “They have even texted pictures and updates, which validated that this was the right place for my child.”
The focus of The Woodlands Hills is “cultivating a generous and welcoming community where everyone is treated as a neighbor.” This point was endorsed by all panelists. “You get a small-town feel here. Everybody knows everybody, and everybody helps everybody,” said Megan.
Kyle added, “This neighborhood truly has the ability to turn introverts like me into extroverts.” The sense of community is reinforced by a variety of clubs open to residents of all ages, including but not limited to the Chess Club; Dart Club; Tennis Club; Bunko Club; Book Club; Empty Nesters; and Mommy and Me. “If there were a world record of how active a neighborhood is on a daily basis, we would definitely win,” said Evelyn.
The love residents develop for the neighborhood turns them into unofficial spokespeople, excited to tell anyone and everyone about how special it is to live in The Woodlands Hills. “I’ve encouraged two of my best friends to move here,” noted Gigi. “Movie nights, pool nights, art nights, and other events hosted regularly by the HOA make fast friends of would-be mere neighbors.”
If you’re looking for a place to call home, complete with top-notch amenities and neighbors who treat you like family, look no further than The Woodlands Hills.
