Howard Hughes hosts free 5th Anniversary Celebration for The Woodlands Hills on Saturday, July 22, 3 – 8 PM
Save the date for Saturday, July 22 from 3 – 8 PM for the 5th Anniversary Celebration of The Woodlands Hills at the Activity Center at Founders Park. Hosted by The Howard Hughes Corporation, this free, family-friendly event will be full of summer fun with live music, entertainment, a rock climbing wall, water slide, inflatables, games, face painting, balloon artists, food trucks and frozen treats. The highlight of the celebration is the tour of 15 fully furnished and beautifully decorated model homes where there is a chance to win one of two $1,000 gift cards and exciting summer door prizes, for adults 18 and over with no purchase necessary.
Quality-built and designed homes are presented by eight local and national homebuilders, which include Century Communities, Chesmar Homes, Brightland Homes, David Weekley Homes, Highland Homes, Perry Homes, Ravenna Homes and Westin Homes. These quality builders offer one-, one-and-a-half- and two-story single-family homes, set on a variety of lot sizes ranging from low maintenance living to spacious 75-foot homesites. Homes are priced from the low $300s.
On July 19, 2018, an official ribbon cutting and flag-raising ceremony marked the launch of The Woodlands Hills –a master planned community on 2,000 acres in a forested, gently rolling terrain. The Woodlands Hills was the first master planned community curated from scratch by Howard Hughes, complementing the two award-winning master planned communities in the Greater Houston area – The Woodlands and Bridgeland, also in the portfolio of Howard Hughes.
Over the years, The Woodlands Hills has taken root and evolved into an award winning community. Ranked among the top 25 master planned communities in the Greater Houston area, it has bloomed into a welcoming and wholesome neighborhood ripe with nature-inspired amenities that promote health, well-being and connectivity.
It’s no wonder The Woodlands Hills is popular by new homeowners, with the top reasons for new homeowners selecting The Woodlands Hills attributed to the community’s location, amenities that focus on health and wellness, a quality lifestyle that seamlessly integrates with the beauty of its natural forest, innovative home designs, renowned builders and attainable home prices.
“We are proud to mark the fifth anniversary of The Woodlands Hills and all that it has become,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, Master Planned Communities, Residential – Houston Region for The Howard Hughes Corporation. “Whether you are seeking a new home or simply want to help us celebrate our wonderful community, we invite you to join us and enjoy our anniversary event on Saturday, July 22 with our wonderful residents and home builders.”
During its inaugural year, the architecturally stunning Activity Center opened within the award-winning 17-acre Founders Park in The Woodlands Hills. The 10,600-square foot center features indoor and outdoor spaces for social gatherings, events and activities, a convenient state-of-the-art fitness center, and an adjoining yoga lawn and an event lawn.
Just a few steps from the Activity Center is an interactive community pool featuring a lazy river, boulder for diving, sunning decks and shade structure, and a separate pool dedicated to lap lane swimming. Founders Park also includes a sprayground within an innovative playground, tennis courts, a dog park for both large and small breeds, and connected hiking trails.
Dedicated lanes for biking along the major thoroughfares in The Woodlands Hills can also be discovered, making it the first community in the area to feature dedicated bike lanes.
Several masterfully designed and uniquely themed parks have debuted throughout the neighborhoods in addition to Founders Park. These include Teralyn Woods Park, Sue Luce’s Daisy Park, Roz Dauzat Peace Park, Coach Les Peacock Park and the new Dr. Tim Harkrider Park. The Woodlands Hills will eventually feature approximately 112 acres of open space and 20 parks.
Among the accolades garnered by The Woodlands Hills, in 2022, Founders Park in the community received the Environmental Impact Award from the North Houston Association. In 2021, it was recognized as a Quality Planned Development™ by the West Houston Association and North Houston Association. The Quality Planned Development recognition certifies that a development has been designed to follow a stringent set of quality standards, commonly found in “superior master planned communities”.
During the community’s tenure, the first 100 founding residents of The Woodlands Hills were honored with a tree dedicated in their name, complete with an individual plaque bearing the family name.
The Woodlands Hills is located approximately 13 miles north of The Woodlands in Conroe and Willis, developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation. The Activity Center at Founders Park is located at 1460 North Teralyn Hills Drive, just west of I-45 off FM 830.
Happy anniversary to five years of welcoming new neighbors and fresh beginnings in The Woodlands Hills!
