Vote Today for Trailhead Ridge Park in The Woodlands Hills for People’s Choice Award from ULI Houston
Trailhead Ridge Park in The Woodlands Hills has recently been named a finalist for the Urban Land Institute Houston (ULI) 2025 Development of Distinction Awards in the Open Space category. Developed by Howard Hughes, the recognition of Trailhead Ridge Park underscores the award-winning community’s exceptional development and its focus on creating accessible, high-quality outdoor amenities for residents.
ULI also provides an opportunity for finalists to engage in a People’s Choice Award. From now until January 17, 2025, residents can vote for Trailhead Ridge Park as their favorite finalist. As a closely-knit community, we invite you to share the link with friends and family so they, too, can cast their vote for the beautiful new outdoor space within one of the best communities to live in Willis and Conroe.
Set among two forested acres, Trailhead Ridge Park, as the name suggests, is the keystone of the trail system, providing a central access point to over 10 miles of trails along Stewart’s Creek. Designed as a space to provide passive, quiet reflection as well as allowing children to engage in imaginative play, Trailhead Ridge Park is a place to immerse oneself in nature. Surrounded by towering pines and plants that attract butterflies, features in Trailhead Ridge Park include a larger-than-life concrete armadillo, towering playground equipment and connecting slide, sprawling net climber, fossil-filled sand pit, table tennis, and peaceful pavilion. A hammock grove provides a way to relax while overlooking Stewart’s Creek.
Trailhead Ridge is the seventh park in The Woodlands Hills, with a total of 20 parks planned for the community. The Woodlands Hills also highlights 25% of its land as permanently dedicated open space. The master design plan for The Woodlands Hills ensures that all residents are within a ¼ mile walking distance of a park to their home.
“The recognition as a finalist for the ULI Houston 2025 Development of Distinction Award in the Open Space category is a tremendous honor for us at Howard Hughes. It underscores our commitment to creating exceptional communities that prioritize both quality of life and sustainability,” said Steve Sams, Senior Vice President, Master Planned Communities, Land Sales for Howard Hughes. “Trailhead Ridge Park is a testament to our vision for The Woodlands Hills — a place where nature and modern living seamlessly come together. This recognition validates the hard work and dedication that goes into developing spaces that truly enhance the lives of our residents.”
The ULI Development of Distinction Awards recognizes exemplary practices of real estate development that demonstrate responsible land use in all aspects of design, construction, community importance, health and financial stability. Finalists were selected by a nomination panel consisting of Houston real estate leaders, and a jury of national real estate experts will evaluate all finalists. Finalists will be honored at a reception in February 2025, when award winners will be announced.
